“Battle of Britain” quotes
(1969)Plot – During World War II, the commander of the Luftwaffe Marshal Goering orders a massive series of bombings on England, as a prelude to the invasion. Marshal Hugh C.T. Dowding, the commander of the British air defense, encounters difficulties because of the numerical minority of the aircrafts and pilots, while it is necessary to shoot down a great number of enemies to avoid the failure. In fact, the German plan includes three strategic phases, in which the aircrafts bomb the coastlines, then the internal airports and, finally, London. The English pilots desperately try to fight the enemies back, causing serious losses to the German fleet.
