"Ferris Bueller's Day Off" by John Hughes: a review
Very few movies from the 1980's stand out as an iconic peice of art as does Ferris Bueller's Day Off. In 1986, the world was blessed with a situational comedy that generations are sure to love and enjoy. Not only has it stood the test of time as one of the greatest movies of the 1980's, it has many memorable movie quotes that millions search for everyday. Here at movie quotes, we have compiled some of the greatest movie lines from Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
Matthew Broderick puts on a stunning performance with many memorable quotes. For example, "The key to faking out the parent is the clammy hand. It's a good non-specific symptom. I'm a big believer in it. A lot of people will tell you a good phoney fever is a deadlock, but you get a nervous mother, you could wind up in a doctor's office--that's worse than school. You fake a stomach cramp, and when you're bent over, moaning and wailing, you lick your palms. It's a little childish and stupid, but then so is high school". Everytime I see this movie I always laugh at that line. Teenage angst at it's best.
A young Charlie Sheen makes some memorable quotes as well. My favorite would have to be "You wear too much eye makeup". Charlie Sheen puts on a memorable performance that is so funny to watch. Below you will find many more Ferris Bueller movie lines.
