Plot – This strange but also delightful Santa Claus origin story starts in a fictional Scandinavian country where the spoiled brat Jesper (main character), the son of the man who runs the Royal Mail Academy, is living his luxury life without any worries. His father decides to banish the boy to the miserable island of Smeerensburg near the Arctic Circle, so he can start to work for a living, like a real adult. He’ll be allowed to return home only if he can deliver 6,000 letters that year. At first it seems like mission impossible. The townspeople of Smeerensburg have been at war for so long that it’s become a tradition for them to hate each-other, so the last thing they wanna do is send letters. But then Jesper meets Klaus, the woodcutter who lives on the edge of town. Together they will change the life of the Smeerensburgers forever. There's no denying that this animated movie will spark your holiday spirit.

Send it off to a certain plump guy in a red suit and, provided you've kept your act together more or less, he'll drop off a toy or two. And yet, no one seems to wonder how the whole thing got started in the first place. This is a story about letters,...” (continue)(continue reading)
