“1900” quotes

(1976)
Movie 1900
Title 1900
Original title Novecento
Year 1976
Director Bernardo Bertolucci
Genre Drama, History
Plot – The movie tells the story of two Italian men who were born in the same day of 1900 and in the same place, in a big farm. Their background, though, is completely different: Alfredo is son of the farm owners while Olmo is son of Rosina, a simple farmer. Olmo does not know who his father is, because of the promiscuity in which the peasants lived at the beginning of the 20th century, segregated and exploited like beasts. The movie also deals with the Great War, the fascist domination and the Liberation movement.
