Plot – During a raid in a research center, a group of activists for animals rights finds some chimps penned in cages. Ignoring the warnings of a researcher who tells them that the chimps are infected, the activists begin to free them, but everyone is immediately attacked. 28 days later, Jim wakes up from a coma in a London hospital. Confused, he wanders in search of someone but all the streets and the entire city itself are empty. By the sunset Jim finds refuge in a church, whose floor is full of corpses, all piled up. A sudden noise makes him think the priest is still alive but his dazzling speed, his blood stained eyes and his screams let Jim run back in the street. He's chased by a lot of infected people but, while running in panic and confusion, he finally finds some allies who explain him the situation.
