Plot – Jean-Michel Basquiat is 19 and doubts about his future. He has a great passion for drawing and makes graffiti. He's very poor but he participates to the New York artistic movements and begins a relationship with Gina, a waitress. One day Jean-Michel finds the courage to show his paintings to Andy Warhol, who appreciates their quality. Now the homeless artist begins a climb to the success. As popularity isn't enough to stop his strong self-destructive impulses, Jean-Michel dies at 26.
