Plot – Jack Burton, a truck driver, accompanies his friend Wang Chi to the airport to pick up his girlfriend Miao Yin, arriving from China. The woman gets kidnapped by a sect of fanatics led by the evil Lo Pan. Jack and Wang Chi are even forced to fight against the Chinese demons to save the girl. It is an adrenaline action comedy, which makes fun of kung fu movies and the Hong Kong’s fantasy genre. As always, Carpenter shows respect to the contamination, without irreverence.
