Plot – Ron was born on the 4th of July, the day of the American Independence anniversary. As a volunteer in Vietnam, he sees women and children dying, then he causes the death of a friend. Seriously injured at the spine, Ron returns to USA paralyzed and is forced to a long hospitalization in a military structure during which he deeply changes his opinion about the war. Ron gets deeply depressed and when he heals he decides to devote himself to pacifism issues and to the Democratic Party policy.
