Plot – For the uninhibited and cynical Jane, a night clubs singer, the Big Apple has become sickening. Abandoned by her best friend and fired from her job, she decides to go to Los Angeles. Meanwhile Robin, a real estate agent, hopes to escape her grim reality with a nostalgic return to San Diego following the same route traveled as a child with her mother and brother. She puts an ad on the newspaper offering a ride by car to the West Coast and Jane answers first. The two makes a stop in Pittsburgh to visit Holly, a friend of Jane, who decides to take part to their travel even if she's pregnant and she's unintentionally become an outlaw.
