Plot – Thirty-year-old Ruth Stoops is so ruined by drugs that she resorts to sniffing glue and paint and on top of that she is pregnant again. However, when a judge declares her incapable of carrying out parental duties, she is co-opted by Gail Stoney, wife of the president of an anti-abortion committee. Obviously, the pro-choice supporters intervene and poor Ruth becomes the reluctant center of a fierce controversy between opposing factions.
