Plot – Caesar, who has landed in Egypt after defeating Pompey, falls in love with Cleopatra and organizes a triumphal march for her through the streets of Rome. When he is killed by conspirators, the queen of Egypt sides against Octavian with Mark Antony, who has also been charmed by her. Octavian however, prevails in battle. Antony commits suicide and Cleopatra, to escape the winner, also chooses to die.
