Plot – Inspired by true events, “Colonia” tells the story of Lena and Daniel, a young couple who becomes involved in the military coup in Chile in 1973. When Daniel is abducted by Pinochet's secret police, Lena follows his traces to an impregnable area located in the southern part of the country, called Colonia Dignidad. Apparently, Colonia is a charitable mission led by a lay preacher named Paul Schäfer but, in reality, it is a place from which no one has ever managed to escape. Lena decides to become part of this sect in order to find Daniel.
