Plot – In January 1991, during the Gulf War in Iran, Colonel Serling kills several men by mistake, then he's assigned to work in a Washington office. General Hershberg seeks to minimize the consequences of Serling's tragic mistake and entrusts him a new task, that is to assess Captain Karen Walden's application, who's about to receive the gold medal for heroism and she would be the first woman to receive the award. The Department considers it appropriate, but Serling finds many contradictions about her past and refuses to hand over the final report. The Colonel is threatened by his superior and he's obliged to seek the truth about Karen. With great difficulty, Sterling discovers the truth but the medal is finally assigned.
