“Crossroads” quotes
(1986)Plot – 17-years-old Eugene Martone dreams to go to the Mississippi Delta to find the essence of blues music and, above all, the traces of Robert Johnson, the last great guitarist. He wants to meet Willie Brown, a great harmonica player and friend of Johnson, so he applies for a job in the nursing home where he is staying. Although at the beginning he is harsh, Brown is persuaded to escape with Marton to the Delta to teach the guy what “the blues” myth is. They live a lot of adventures, accompanied by Brown’s harmonica and suggestions. Martone wins a guitar challenge against the local champion. Now it is his task to write and play the melodies of the Mississippi culture.
