Plot – Alex Cutter returns from the front without an eye and a leg, carrying the hell of war inside. Neither alcohol nor the love of his family seem to appease his despair until a friend finds the corpse of a girl in an alley. Suspicion falls on an oil tycoon but Cutter, who doubts the man's guilt, tries in every way to find the person responsible for the crime, embarking on a hunt for the perpetrator along with the victim's distraught sister and a new friend.
