Plot – The French Republic is living the 'terror period' and the Royalist forces threaten the capital, while the population is suffering famine and inflation. In november Danton comes back to Paris, where once he was among the carnage's leaders. Now he's claiming peace, so some struggles against Robespierre are inevitable. In the end Danton is arrested and sentenced to death, but two months later Robespierre faces the same fate.
