Plot – Cassidy, commander of a long distance cruise submarine, receives the order to leave the San Francisco Bay for an unknown destination. The instructions of the mission are contained in a sealed envelope which the commander, following the orders, opens 24 hours after departure. At a specific destination, he boards an officer who has arrived by plane. Arriving close to Tokyo, Commander Cassidy follows a large Japanese submarine unit and manages to force the barriers and to penetrate into the city port. A few man disembark to make the necessary observations and then radio the data to headquarters, making the first deadly bombing of the city possible. Back at sea, the submarine is spotted and chased by the enemy, but manages to escape and, after having sunk enemy units and shot down enemy aircraft, make its way back to San Francisco with only one man lost.
