(1995)Plot – Easy Rawlins is a black man who moves to Los Angeles after the Second World War. He loses his job and accepts to work for gangster Dewitt Albright to find Daphne Monet, the mayor candidate Todd Carter's lover. Rawlins visits Central Avenue bars and learns Monet is a friend of Coretta James, Dupree Brouchard's lover. After a night spent drinking together, Dupree is drunk and Easy drives him home. Coretta tells him to talk with Frank Green but next morning the police finds the woman dead.
