Plot – After the suicide of his elder brother, Steve Clark James Marsden is led by his parents to a strange town. There the grade point average is above the standard and road accidents due to the drive under the influence are unknown. Drugs or suicides of passion are unknown as well. At Cradle Bay guys spend all their time studying, doing charitable activities and community service, but there's something unnatural about all this perfection. Avoiding the Blue Ribbons group, Steve makes friendship with Gavin and Rachel, two outsiders who suspect about their peers' behavior too. Dr. Caldicott, the school psychiatrist, tries to persuade all the parents that surgery would solve all of their problems, eliminating forever their children's rebel and socially unacceptable behavior. Steve's parents are thinking to take part to the program.
