Plot – "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" takes us back to the wizarding world created by J. K. Rowling. Set many years before "Harry Potter", the protagonist of this story is Newt Scamander, a magizoologist. In 1926, the magical world of New York is threatened by increasingly dangerous perils. Something mysterious is spreading destruction in the city, risking to expose the wizards' community to the No-Maj (the American term for Muggles). Among them there is the New Salem Philanthropic Society, a community of dark wizards that want to eradicate all the non-magical people. The dark wizard Gellert Grindewald, after unleashing chaos all over Europe, is vanished and is nowhere to be found. Unaware of this, Newt Scamander arrives in the city after a long travel around the world in search of magical beasts, some of which are hidden in his leather suitcase. Things get worse when Jacob Kowalski, a No-Maj man, unintentionally sets free some of Newt's beasts.
