“Far From Heaven” quotes
(2002)Plot – Hartford, Connecticut - 1957. Cathy Whitaker returns home after a day of errands and waits for her husband Frank for dinner. He's the head of 'Magnatech' local branch, a company that sells televisions. Sybil is the maid and helps Cathy to unload the car, but they haven't both talked to Mr. Whitaker during the day, and that's a problem. This is the opening scene which represents a typical '50s American family. The values of that period soon turn into a tangle of conflicts.
