Plot – Five medicine students decide to live in first person the terrible predecease experience, trying to unveil the mysteries of death with a reckless experiment. "Flatliners" tells the story of Courtney Hall, whose uncontrolled ambition pushes her to involve a group of fellow students in a dangerous and almost impossible research. All gathered in a lab in the basement of the university building, they take turn in lying on a couch and let the other student stop their heart. Even the most skeptical among them acknowledge the effects of "reawakening" on the brain and the potential of this scientific discovery. When they get back from the other dimension, the students start having horrendous hallucinations: images of murky past and forgotten memories that have regained strength. The experiment that wanted to prove the existence of an afterlife has now unleashed its power on those who have entered it.
