Plot – In the late evening of 4 July 1978, David Freeman goes through a forest to pick up his little brother. David is 12 and slips into a hole, then he comes back home, but his house is different and is inhabited by an unknown old couple. Alarmed by the disappearance of his family, David learns from the police that everybody thinks he died or disappeared during the last eight years. When he's brought back to his loved ones, David finds them a bit changed indeed: David now should be 20 and becomes a case for NASA scientists, who are interested in the boy's reappearance and in his lack of memory, as well as in the fact that his brain seems in perfect harmony with the sophisticated computer of a spatial base. Detained under observation, David manages to escape, climbs aboard a strange ship parked in the NASA hangar and begins a fantastic adventure. The teenage roams the skies with the only help of a robot, Max, who needs the celestial maps encoded in David's mind to get back to its distant planet. When David reunites with his family, his parents and his little brother are the same he used to know, as only few hours have passed from his disappearance.
