Plot – In the second half of 19th century in New York, Americans and Irish immigrants fight to divide the territory and to run the illegal business. The challenge is between the Dead Rabbits led by the Amsterdam Vallon and the Native, led by the ruthless Bill Poole "the Butcher". The clash becomes more and more cruel, because Amsterdam is driven by the desire to avenge his father's death, murdered by Poole. Meanwhile, Poole wants to kill the young Vallon to confirm his dominance over the city.
