Plot – "Ghost in the Shell" is set in a near future, when the boundaries between man and technology are very thin. In this setting, we find the Major, an unusual woman, one of a kind. After a terrible accident, she was saved from certain death but transformed into the perfect soldier using cybernetic modifications that made her a hybrid between a human and a cyborg. Responsible for her transformation is Dr. Ouelet, one of the best scientists working for the Hanka Corporation. The Major is now part of a special police squad, the anti-terrorist bureau Section 9, led by Daisuke Aramaki; this squad is in charge of preventing the crimes of the most dangerous criminals from all over the world. One of their first task is to find and kill Kuze, the criminal mind behind an attack against a top manager of the Hanka Corporation. Thanks to her superhuman abilities, the Major is the only one capable of facing this new menace, an enemy that is able to control cybernetic minds. While she is getting ready to face her antagonist, she discovers the truth about her past: everything she knows is a lie and her life was not saved, but rather taken from her. From now on, she won't stop until she unveils the mystery linked to her own existence, regain her memory, find out who did this to her and stop them before the same happen to others.
