Plot – Micky O'Neill is a young theatre manager and the director of an old club in Liverpool, the Heartly's. He gets into financial difficulties and casts the legendary tenor Josef Locke or, better, a man who looks like him. The opening night is a success, but the police chief is waiting to arrest the impostor. O'Neill flies to Ireland to find the real Locke, who's living in the countryside and together they come back to Liverpool. Micky organizes a concert and the crowd enjoys it, but in the end Josef escapes again.
