Plot – James Averill and Billy Irvine are great friends and classmates at Harvard. After graduation, they choose very different paths: Averill fights for the causes of poor people, leaving his family and becoming the sheriff in a county where cattle ranchers and immigrants fight one another. Irvine takes the opposite side, becoming the lawyer of the breeders association. The farmers decide to kill 125 rivals, among which there's Ella Watson, a French prostitute. The leader of the assassins loves her and rebels against his bosses.
