Three months later, participating to a dinner in a restaurant, Newton meets a lively waitress, Gwen, who later agrees to take a walk with him. Surprised by a violent rain, the two take refuge in Gwen's nearby house and spend the night together. The next morning when she wakes up, the woman finds herself alone in the bed as Newton has left her without saying anything.
