Plot – Eddie, Phil and Mickey are in Los Angeles at the end of the millennium. They are friends and work in the entertainment industry. Eddie is a casting director for movies and for television; Mickey works with Eddie to cultivate relations with producers; Phil, instead, currently unemployed, is a desperate actor and is trying to become a good dependable person; he would like to have a child with his wife Susy, whom he neglects too much. One evening Bonnie, a prostitute, is invited over to Eddie's house and then she leaves with Phil. However, along the way Phil opens the car door and throws her out. Phil reveals that Susy wants to kick him out of the house. Eddie goes back to dating Darlene, with whom he fights all the time. Then comes the news that Phil has killed himself with the car. Later, Eddie receives a letter from Phil explaining the reasons for his suicide. Eddie wants to understand it better and fights with Mickey, who leaves him. Alone, Eddie dives in the pool. Then Donna, a homeless girl he once hosted, returns. Eddie lets his feelings out with her and tells her about Phil's funeral. Then Donna falls asleep.
