(1995)Plot – In the third millennium, megacities are devastated by criminals and the "judges" fight against them as they are at the same time policemen, magistrates and executioners. Joseph Dredd is the terror of criminals for his unyielding severity. Rico, a dangerous criminal (a former judge and Dredd's colleague too), escapes. He wears Dredd's uniform and kills a journalist to take revenge on Joseph. The judge is so imprisoned despite Fargo, an elderly judge, tries to help him. The plane with the prisoners is attacked by the "Angels". They are cannibal murderers. Before to die, Fargo tells Dredd about Janus, a project which was interrupted. Rico is trying to reactivate it and he proposes to Dredd to join him. Joseph refuses and Rico tries to eliminate him. Finally the criminal falls from the Statue of Liberty, where the Janus project was hidden, and Dredd is rehabilitated. Joseph refuses the presidency of the judges and resumes his job as street judge.
