Plot – Before being fired, friendly affable Larry Crowne was a popular manager for a chain of stores where he had been working since he was discharged from the navy. Submerged by his mortgage and without the faintest idea of how to use his suddenly acquired free time, Larry follows his friends' advice and returns to school for a new beginning. At the East Valley Community College he joins a diverse group of students who are scooter enthusiasts, all looking for a better future. To his surprise, Larry gets a crush on his Public Speaking teacher, who has lost her passion both for teaching and for her scrounger husband.
