Plot – In Los Angeles the black cop Roger Murtaugh, a respected family man, is about to happily retire. His partner Martin Riggs is instead white, wild and with something wrong in his head - because of Vietnam - so much so that he has earned the nickname of "Lethal Weapon". Besides that, Martin is also quite convincing when he insists with Roger to investigate a theft of illegal weapons destined to be destroyed. Joining them is Lorna Cole, a detective who is smarter and more aggressive than Martin and Roger are willing to believe, at least initially. After a series of chases, shootouts and explosions, the criminals are framed, Martin falls in love with Lorna and Roger gives up retiring.
