Plot – Young Mouse Bradford arrives at "Perkins Girl's College" where she's welcomed by her two new roommates. Pauline is smart and bold, while Tory is fascinating and beautiful and they soon become friends discovering they are bonded by a common denominator. Each of them in fact has lived a painful family episode: Mouse hasn't overcome the death of her mother yet, Pauline is looking for her real mother while Tory struggles to meet her parents' expectations. Their apparently perfect balance fails when Tory and Pauline are surprised in compromising attitudes. As they are actually lovers, the episode inevitably distances them. Mouse is divided between the two friends.
