Plot – Corky is a magician and Forca is his talking doll. Their performance is the best one and a major television network contacts Ben Greene, their manager, to propose a long-term commitment. As the employment requires a medical examination, Corky is mysteriously terrorized and flees to Catskill Mountains. There he rents an abandoned cottage from Peggy Ann Snow, his first girlfriend. Before Duke, her husband, comes back home, Corky becomes the woman's lover, but at the same time the magician falls deeper into a state of schizophrenia and he splits into Forca. The doll imposes him advices and orders. When Ben reaches the cottage, he suffers tragic consequences and Duke dies too. Now Corky seems finally happy but he has to choose between Peggy and Forca. In the end his illness induces him to stab himself.
All actors – Anthony Hopkins, Ann-Margret, Burgess Meredith, Ed Lauter, E.J. André, Jerry Houser, David Ogden Stiers, Lillian Randolph, Joe Lowry, Robert Hackman, Mary Munday, Brad Beesley
