Plot – During World War I in Paris, a beautiful mysterious dancer has many suitors and is known as Mata Hari. Only the head of the French counterintelligence knows she's a German spy, but he has no evidence. Russian Lt. Alexis Rosanoff carries important documents from Russia and falls for her, so Mata Hari can take possesion of the material. When she learns Alexis is seriously injured, she understands that she loves him and she takes care of him despite her duties. One of her jealous suitors threatens to denounce her as a spy, but she kills him, getting arrested and sentenced to death.
