Plot – Stan Ross reaches the amount of 3000 strikes and thinks he has entered the baseball Hall of Fame, so he retires satisfied. Ten years later the title is invalidated due to a mistake and Stan has to start playing baseball again as he has built a number of fruitful activities taking advantage of his "Mr. 3000" title. His return into the world of sport is mocked by an old flame, but soon the passion revives between them.
