Plot – When Danny is 5-years-old, he sees Anna Swan’s birth and decides that, one day, he will marry her. After 25 years, Danny goes back to America and finds a job at Anna’s place. The parents warmly welcome him and the mother Grace tries to make him feel comfortable. Anna is engaged to Eric, an ambitious young guy. In the family there are also a brother and two sisters: Nina, who’s blind, and Karen, who works in the feminist theatre. Danny reads Nina books and he walks with her. Danny is brave enough to tell Eric that he is in love with Anna. Suddenly, Grace dies and Anna pushes Eric away. When she finds out that Danny is about to leave, she runs to the station and they declare mutual love to each other. When they walk away together, Danny thinks about that promise he made when he was just a child.
