Plot – The movie is set in 1954. Benjy Stone is one of the authors of a popular TV show hosted by King Kaiser, a comedian. Kaiser decides to invite Alan Swann to the show, who once was a matinee idol. Benjy is enthusiastic to work together with his youth’s hero, but Swann arrives drunk at the studios and Kaiser wants to send him away. Benjy offers himself as Swann’s ‘babysitter’, assuring that he will be sober. However, Kaiser has to deal with other problems.
