Plot – Betty Sizemore, dreamer and sensible waitress in Oaks, Kansas, is a loyal fan of the soap opera "A Reason to Love". The woman is married to an ignorant unfaithful husband, who nonetheless she loves. On her birthday, while watching her soap opera, she witnesses her husband being murdered by two killers. The scene is devastating and in the mind of Betty the thin line that separates reality from fantasy becomes blurred. The woman therefore begins to mistake fiction for real life. Chased by the killers and the police, Betty moves away from Kansas and arrives in Los Angeles on the set of the soap opera in search of Dr. Ravell, who she believes is her former boyfriend.
