(1990)Plot – Young couple Patty Palmer and Drake Goodman put together all their money and buy a Victorian-style house in San Francisco. In order to pay their mortgage, they restore it themselves and immediately rent out the two ground floor apartments. One is rented to a Japanese married couple, Mira and Toshio Watanabe, while the other is taken by sexy young Carter Hayes. Once in the house, the strange renter locks himself in and takes advantage of a law which protects tenants to become untouchable and to mock the owners, disturbing them in any possible way and soon causing the two Japanese to run away. The evil and intelligent Carter, who is a psychopath, torments the young couple, making their lives a nightmare.
