Plot – The main character is a young bear who grew up in the deep Peruvian jungle with Aunt Lucy who, inspired by her friendship with an English explorer, raised him by teaching him to prepare jams, to listen to the BBC and to dream of an exciting life in London. When an earthquake destroys their home, Aunt Lucy decides it is time to "send" her young nephew to England in search of a family and a better life. Trusting in the kindness of some kind soul, she ties a label onto her nephew's neck simply saying: "Please take care of this bear. Thank you". With nothing more than his duffle coat, his hat and his inseparable case, the bear arrives in the city that he had so often dreamed about, but he gets lost at Paddington station and realizes that life in the city is not exactly as he imagined. The Browns, a kind couple, rescue him and offer to put him up.
