Plot – Pieces of a Woman is a 2020 drama film centering Martha Weiss and Sean Carson, a Boston couple who are going to be parents. They decide to have a home birth but during labor Martha struggles with nausea, anxiety, and pain. Unfortunately it ends in a tragedy, the baby goes into cardiac arrest and dies. This will change the couples relationship and life forever. Martha struggles with depression and Sean starts to have an affair with Martha's cousin, Suzanne, and use cocaine after being sober for over six years. Martha now has to face Eva, the midwife, in court.
