Plot – Buddy Hillyer returns home to visit his widowed father and remembers his adolescence. His parents hosted Rose, a girl from the countryside, and treated her as a daughter. As a teenager she was forced to prostitution and at Hillyer's she offered herself to the father, then she befriended with Buddy, who had his first sexual experience with her. Rose then got pregnant, but the surgeon declared it was a tumor. Finally Rose disappeared from town and, talking with his father, Buddy learns Rose died.
