Plot – “Room” tells the extraordinary story of Jack, a lively 5-year-old who is cared for by his loving and devoted Ma'. Like any good mother, Ma' does everything to ensure that Jack is happy and safe, filling him with love and warmth and spending time playing with him and telling him stories. Their life, however, is anything but normal – they are trapped - confined in a 3 x 3 meter space without windows that Ma' euphemistically calls "Room." Within this environment Ma' creates an entire universe for Jack and does everything to ensure the child a normal, fulfilling life even in such a treacherous place. However, facing Jack's growing number of questions about their situation, and Ma's now failing health, they decide to carry out a very risky escape plan, which could, however, have them face an even more frightening reality: the real world.
