Plot – Pat Solitano, former high school history teacher, has just been discharged from a mental institution. Pat is determined to believe that he has been treated for only a few months, and not actually for four years, and plans to reconcile with his ex-wife. Rejecting the idea that it has been so long and that their separation is definitive, Pat spends his days feverishly waiting for the reconciliation and trying to become the man that his wife has always wanted. In the meantime, however, he is unexpectedly distracted by a beautiful and problematic neighbor.
