Plot – When the Sisters of St. Catherine Convent arrive at the St. Francis Academy in San Francisco, they are in trouble because the school is full of rowdy teenagers and the classrooms are devasted. The only solution is to call a “shining” singer, Deloris Van Cartier. They find her in Las Vegas, where she is famous now. Convinced by the kind Sisters, Deloris accepts to dress as Sister Mary Clarence once again to deceive the students of the music school. Thanks to a program that they will never forget, Deloris manages to convert her "infernal class" in a heavenly hip-hop chorus, which sings the Gospel.
