Plot – When FBI Special Agent Joe Merriwether finds himself perplexed by a series of murders, he decides to seek help from a former, now retired, colleague, a psychoanalyst and psychic, Dr. John Clancy. The solitary Clancy, who has stopped practicing and is secluded from the world after the death of his daughter and the subsequent breakup of his marriage, wants nothing to do with the case, nor to use his abilities. However, when he has very violent visions of Joe's young colleague, FBI Special Agent Katherine Cowles, he changes his mind, thinking that they can also be a kind of personal message. When Clancy's exceptional intuitive powers lead him on the trail of a suspect, Charles Ambrose, soon the doctor realizes that his "gift" is nothing compared to the extraordinary powers of this murderer on a mission.
