Plot – Harry Sanborn is a bachelor who only dates women under their thirties. While spending a romantic weekend with Marin - his latest flame - in her mother's beach house, the man has a heart attack. Marin's mother, Erica Barry, is a successful playwright and agrees reluctantly to take care of the man who, on the advice of a young doctor, cannot leave the house. During the days spent together, Harry feels inexplicably attracted to Erica, but he's not the only one: the doctor courts the woman too.
