Plot – Detective David Starsky is an undercover cop who patrols the streets at Bay City in California. He's devoted to his job: when Starsky is in service, no crime goes unpunished. While he always acts with excessive fervour, his colleague detective Ken "Hutch" Hutchinson is too relaxed: he desires only to make money quickly. Despite of it, Hutch has a great instinct but he needs more concentration to solve things legally, even if it is a less profitable way to make money. The police captain of Bay City, Dobey, is exasperated by them and he finally finds the best solution: to make Starsky and Hutch work together.
