Plot – Tony Manero has abandoned his home over the East River in New York to go to Manhattan to look for a job as dancer. Meanwhile he gets engaged to Jackie, a dancer as well, and he works as a waiter in a restaurant. Jackie brings Tony to a show audition. The prima ballerina is the rich and capricious Laura and Tony spends with her the night, meanwhile the company rehearses the 'Satan's Alley' play.
